GLASS, METALS, CERAMICS
We have a varied selection of English transferware from the Staffordshire potteries, most dating from early to mid 19th century. We have scenic and botanical patterns in the traditional blue and white, but also have some pieces in brown, black and green. In our current selection are platters, including ‘well and tree’ platters, drainers, plates, tea cups and saucers, jugs and bowls, and tureens.
We also have some beautifully decorated European plates in a deep cobalt blue color with gilt decoration, ironstone platters, as well as some plates and chargers in Imari colors.
We have a good selection of antique English glass decanters, including a few pairs – mostly Georgian and Regency dating from the early 19th century. In addition, we have tantalus sets, with 3 matching decanters in a traditional wood carrying case. Also available are early 19th century decanter sets – one in a paper-mache stand with handle and another on a decorated tole ware stand with liqueur glasses. A special item is a Dutch liqueur set – with a set of 6 gilt-decorated glass decanters in an inlaid wood case, along with liqueur glasses.
There is also a good selection of decorative pewter items – mostly English and Continental, with a few American pieces – most dating from the mid 18th century to the mid 19th century. We have plates, sets or pairs of plates, chargers, platters, candleholders, tobacco boxes, etc.
Brass items include a selection of pairs of English candlesticks, chambersticks complete with snuffers, tobacco boxes, trivets and more. These items date mostly from the early to mid 19th century.
